As we head into FALL, the Township continues to move forward with key projects. While August was a relatively quiet month for official Board action, I presented to the Board some things to consider. We discussed outsourcing Payroll, we brought on a new probationary fire fighter and discussed the need to ensure we had operating procedures for the elected officials should we have an extended absence with one of our officials. We implemented an aggressive action plan with regards to our short-term rental issue, and we have positioned ourselves to address this issue more fully at the start of the 2027 summer season.
We will host another open house regarding our Parks & Recreation and Master Plans on September 21 from 4:30- 6 PM followed by our regular Planning Commission meeting. Come out and make your voices heard on this important project and stay for the PC meeting to tell the commissioners your thoughts. This will be an opportunity for community members to weigh in on budgeting priorities for resident-suggested projects.
